From the African Bush to the British Skies

We are a family with roots deep in the African continent — raised on wide open skies, vivid colours, and the kind of joy that only the bush can give you.

In 2023, we made Surrey, UK our home and fell in love with the history & culture. And while we fell in love with Britain, we found ourselves longing for something: the warmth, the colour, the spirit of Africa.

So we did what families do. We got creative.

Marula Umbrellas was born from that longing — a way to carry a piece of the African sky with us through every British drizzle. Each umbrella is a canvas: bold botanical prints inspired by the landscapes, flora, and light of the continent we carry in our hearts.

We wanted to bring African connection, colour, vibes, joy, and hope to Great Britain — one umbrella at a time. Because even on the greyest of days, there is beauty to be found. You just have to look up.

We have poured love into every design, and we hope that when you open your Marula umbrella, you feel a little of that too.
